Installing Mandriva walkthrough 2006

These pictures are from an older version of Mandriva (2006). The current version is 2008 Spring. However the installation process is basically still the same with a few exceptions. See Installing Mandriva for more general information about installing Mandriva.

Note that there are a few different installation procedures - if you install using the live One CD then it will look totally different to these screenshots but the process will be similar. Also if your install CD can't configure the graphics properly then you will get text-only versions of these screens.

This is the first thing you'll see when you boot from the cd. The window border appears because the screenshots were made using a virtual machine.

In most cases you just have to press Enter. The first thing you have to do is choose your language settings. If the installer is translated to that language then it will use that from now on. Image:installatie02.png

You have to accept the license to continue.
