Changing KDM theme
From Mandrivausers Wiki
KDM, in short, is KDE Display Manager. That is what you see by default while logging on to your linux system (if you use Mandriva linux with KDE).
There is a KDM configuration tool in the KDE Control Center. To get there either select "Control Center" from the System menu, or press Alt+F2 and type "kcontrol".
Inside the "System Administration" section there should be a "Login Manager" entry. All the options are greyed out meaning that they cannot be edited. To edit them, click the "Administrator Mode" button and enter the root password.
If these options aren't available in the KDE Control Center, make sure you have a "kdmtheme" package installed: to check, simply type urpmq kdmtheme in the terminal. If it is not installed, type urpmi kdmtheme in the terminal as root. Now you should be able to change your KDM theme as written above.
