About MandrivaUsers
From Mandrivausers Wiki
Mandrake Users Board (now Mandriva Users) was the original creation of Tom Berger, an employee of Mandriva and a highly respected authority on Linux. Few people can claim to be a Linux "guru" but Tom Berger certainly deserves the title. Tom wrote volumes of tutorials on Linux, and his "plain English" approach made it a lot easier for so called "Linux newbies" to understand. All of his tutorials and tips are stored on this board. After Tom moved on to pastures new, a handful of active members took over the running of the board, and created a new MandrivaUsers Board.
Though we are linked to Mandriva and bear their name, this board is operated independently of Mandriva and not just limited to users of Mandriva Linux. The board now supports and offers technical help on all Linux Distributions.
The original incarnation of the board, created by Tom Berger, was known as simply Mandrake User Board - as such it is often referred to as MUB, though many of those who have been around since the original board tend to distinguish the current incarnation by calling it MUsB (Mandriva Users Board). Regular contributors are sometimes known as Mubbles.
The home page of MandrivaUsers is http://mandrivausers.org/, and an IRC channel - #musb - is also run on the irc.freenode.net network.
